What is a long squeeze versus a short squeeze?
A short squeeze is a sharp rally driven by traders who bet on falling prices being forced to buy back to cover, while a long squeeze is the mirror image, where falling prices force leveraged buyers to sell. In a short squeeze, rising prices trigger losses for short sellers, whose covering pushes prices higher still. In a long squeeze, declines force liquidation of long positions, deepening the drop. Both show how crowded leveraged positioning amplifies moves. Recognising these mechanics is part of reading crypto markets with discipline rather than reacting to them. Qatobit's research framing is built around that steadiness.
