What is delta in crypto options?

Delta in crypto options measures how much an option's price is expected to change for a one-dollar move in the underlying asset. It ranges from 0 to 1 for calls and 0 to minus 1 for puts. A call with a delta of 0.5 gains roughly 50 cents if Bitcoin rises one dollar. Delta also approximates the probability the option finishes in the money and indicates equivalent exposure to the underlying. It shifts as price, time, and volatility change. Options are advanced instruments and can lose their full value.

Crypto investments are subject to market risk and volatility. Past performance is not indicative of future returns. This is general information, not investment advice — consider your own circumstances or consult a qualified adviser before investing.
