Traditional Investing & Portfolio Theory

What is Modern Portfolio Theory?

Modern Portfolio Theory is a framework for building portfolios that treats risk and return at the portfolio level rather than asset by asset. Its central idea is that combining assets whose prices do not move in lockstep can reduce overall volatility without proportionally sacrificing expected return, because diversification offsets some individual swings. It underpins the efficient frontier concept. Past performance does not guarantee future results. At Qatobit, this portfolio-level thinking informs how our QSI crypto indices are constructed and rebalanced monthly under documented methodology. Read the methodology.

Crypto investments are subject to market risk and volatility. Past performance is not indicative of future returns. This is general information, not investment advice — consider your own circumstances or consult a qualified adviser before investing.
