What is the TDS threshold limit for crypto transactions?

The TDS threshold for crypto in India is the minimum transaction value before 1 percent Tax Deducted at Source under Section 194S applies. It is 50,000 rupees in a financial year for specified persons, such as individuals below the tax-audit limit, and 10,000 rupees for others. For example, a salaried investor whose yearly crypto transfers stay under 50,000 rupees would generally fall below the threshold. Once crossed, the 1 percent TDS applies to the transaction value, and the deducted amount is credited toward your final tax liability when you file your return.
