What is the difference between ERC-721 and ERC-1155?
ERC-721 is an Ethereum standard where each token is unique and tracked individually, while ERC-1155 is a multi-token standard that lets one contract manage many token types, both unique and fungible, in a single deployment. The difference is efficiency and flexibility. For example, a one-of-one artwork suits ERC-721, while a game issuing thousands of identical items plus rare unique ones fits ERC-1155, which can batch transfers to cut costs. ERC-1155 reduces contract overhead; ERC-721 keeps a simpler, strictly unique model.
