Stablecoins, RWA & Tokenization
What is an INR-pegged stablecoin?
An INR-pegged stablecoin is a cryptocurrency designed to hold a steady value of roughly one Indian rupee per coin, usually backed by rupee reserves or rupee-denominated assets held by the issuer. Its purpose is to let users move value on a blockchain while tracking the rupee instead of a volatile crypto price. For example, ten thousand such coins would aim to stay near ten thousand rupees regardless of Bitcoin's daily moves. The peg holds only as long as the backing reserves and the issuer's redemption process remain sound and transparent.
