Stablecoins, RWA & Tokenization

What is a stablecoin?

A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency designed to hold a steady value by tracking a reference asset, most often a fiat currency like the US dollar. Each unit is meant to stay near a fixed price, so one dollar-pegged stablecoin aims to remain worth roughly one dollar regardless of broader crypto volatility. Issuers maintain this by holding reserves or using algorithmic mechanisms. Traders use stablecoins to move between volatile assets, settle transactions, and park value without converting back to fiat. Stability is a design goal, not a guarantee.
