What is Polygon (POL) and how does it work?
Polygon is a network of scaling solutions built to make transactions on Ethereum faster and cheaper, with POL as its native token used for fees and staking. Rather than replacing Ethereum, Polygon processes activity on connected chains and rollups, then settles back to Ethereum for security. For example, a token transfer that might cost several dollars on Ethereum directly can cost a few cents on Polygon. POL replaced the earlier MATIC token as the network expanded across multiple chains. Where it appears in a portfolio, Qatobit evaluates such assets through a curated, rules-based index approach.
