What is a smart contract wallet?

A smart contract wallet is a crypto wallet whose ownership and rules are governed by on-chain code instead of a single private key. It works by holding funds in a smart contract that can enforce custom logic, such as daily spending limits, multiple required signers, or recovery options. For example, a smart contract wallet might let you regain access through trusted contacts rather than a seed phrase if you lose your device. The trade-off is that security now depends on the contract code being sound, so a bug in the contract becomes a risk of its own.

Crypto investments are subject to market risk and volatility. Past performance is not indicative of future returns. This is general information, not investment advice — consider your own circumstances or consult a qualified adviser before investing.
