Stablecoins, RWA & Tokenization

What does it mean for a token to be redeemable for the underlying asset?

A token is redeemable for the underlying asset when its holder can exchange it for the real thing it represents, such as fiat, gold, or a share. Redeemability is what anchors a token's value to something tangible rather than market sentiment alone. For example, a tokenized gold unit that you can redeem for physical gold ties the token's worth to that metal. Practical redemption depends on the issuer honoring it, so the terms and the issuer's standing both matter when you assess any tokenized asset.
