What is a crypto phishing attack?

A crypto phishing attack is a scam in which an attacker impersonates a trusted service to trick you into revealing private keys, seed phrases, or login details, or into approving a malicious transaction. These attacks often arrive as fake emails, cloned websites, or fraudulent support messages that create urgency. For example, a fake wallet update page might ask you to enter your seed phrase, handing the attacker full control of your funds. The defence is to verify every link and address independently and never enter recovery details in response to an unsolicited prompt.

Crypto investments are subject to market risk and volatility. Past performance is not indicative of future returns. This is general information, not investment advice — consider your own circumstances or consult a qualified adviser before investing.
