NFTs, DAOs & Web3
What is Web3?
Web3 is a term for a vision of the internet built on blockchains, where users hold their own assets and identity through wallets rather than relying on central platforms to store and control them. It contrasts with today's web, where a few large companies host most services and data. Applications in Web3, often called decentralized apps, run on smart contracts and let users transact directly. For example, signing into a service with a crypto wallet instead of an email-and-password account is a common Web3 pattern. The concept is still developing and debated.
