Kumar Sonu

Kumar Sonu has spent fourteen years in Indian financial markets, on the side of the desk that manages other people's money. He co-founded a commodities and algorithmic trading firm in 2013 and grew the capital it managed from ₹3 lakh to ₹3.5 crore in two years, then spent the years after building and running algorithmic trading systems and infrastructure for brokerages and advising them on how they trade. He has traded and invested through every cycle since 2012, in commodities and, from 2021, in crypto, with his own capital at risk alongside his clients'. Before markets there was science: an MSc in biotechnology from Annamalai University and a research year at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology in Calcutta, the training behind his insistence on method over instinct. Two full cycles taught him where wealth is actually made, in disciplined investing rather than in trading, and Qatobit is that conviction built as a product: rules decide the basket, a schedule carries the discipline, and nothing depends on a market call.
