Fees, answered.
Straight answers to the questions investors ask, read before you commit a rupee.
What are the fees?
Allocate to, redeem from, or rebalance a Crypto Index, 0.35%. There is no annual management fee. INR deposits and withdrawals are free, with a ₹200 minimum on either side. The applicable fee is shown before you confirm any transaction.
What is the minimum investment?
Each Crypto Index starts at ₹2,000. A Crypto SIP starts at ₹500 per cadence for weekly or biweekly, or ₹2,000 for monthly. A SIP into a Crypto Index starts at ₹2,000 per cadence. Deposits and withdrawals start at ₹200.
Is there an annual management fee on QSI indices?
None. All four QSI Crypto Indices, Core, Growth, VRION, and GEQ8, carry the same structure: the only fee is 0.35%, charged per basket buy, sell, or rebalance.
What is the fee to buy Bitcoin on Qatobit?
The fee on a single-asset Quick Buy of Bitcoin is 0.4% of the INR amount, displayed before you confirm the transaction. There is no INR deposit or withdrawal fee. The minimum deposit and withdrawal are ₹200 each. For Crypto Index purchases, the basket fee is 0.35%.
How much does monthly rebalancing cost over a year?
Every QSI Core rebalancing event, buy, sell, or basket correction, carries a 0.35% fee on the amount transacted, with no separate annual management fee on top. The charge is calculated on the rupee amount that moves during the rebalance, so a balance sitting still is outside it. A quiet month with little drift can generate a small rebalance or none at all.
What does the 0.35% fee apply to?
It applies to the transaction amount: the value of crypto trimmed or topped up when the index rebalances, a lump-sum or SIP contribution into the index, or an exit from it. A position that isn't transacting that month carries no charge.
How often is the fee charged?
On the monthly rebalance date, mechanically, plus on any lump-sum investment, SIP contribution, or exit. An off-cycle review triggered by a security or liquidity event carries the same fee logic when it produces an actual transaction.
Why did Qatobit delete the annual fee?
Early in the build we modeled a flat 2.5% per year and rejected it before launch. It would have charged the same amount whether or not the index did any work that year, and we wanted the fee tied to the rebalance.
Does the fee change depending on which QSI index I hold?
No. All four QSI indices carry the identical 0.35% per-rebalance fee and no annual management fee, whatever the construction of each one.
What is the minimum to invest in Bitcoin in India?
On Qatobit, the minimum deposit is ₹200, and a Bitcoin purchase can be executed against any positive INR balance above the deposit minimum. For a Crypto SIP into Bitcoin, the minimum is ₹500 per cadence for weekly or biweekly cadences and ₹2,000 for monthly cadences. For a SIP into a Crypto Index that holds Bitcoin (QSI Core, QSI Growth, QSI VRION), the minimum is ₹2,000 per cadence. There is no maximum on the position size; the minimum is intended to make the asset accessible to disciplined first-time allocators. **Disclaimer** Crypto investments are subject to market risk and volatility. What fee does Qatobit charge on its indexes, and where is it published?
0.35% on any basket buy, sell, or rebalance, with no separate annual management fee. The rate applies to all four QSI indexes and sits on the public record already.
What's the difference between a balance fee and a transaction fee?
A balance fee charges you for holding money on a platform, whether you act or not. A transaction fee charges you only when you buy, sell, rebalance, or convert. Qatobit charges the second kind: 0.35 percent per rebalance on a Crypto Index, and no annual charge on the balance itself.
Does GST apply on top of a crypto platform's stated fee?
India applies 18 percent GST on a crypto exchange's service and transaction fees, a rule the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs clarified from July 2025. Ask any platform whether the rate you see already includes this before you compare two numbers side by side.
Is there a fee to leave a Qatobit Crypto Index?
No. There is no cost to leave an index, at any holding period. The only charge on a basket is the 0.35 percent fee applied when a rebalance happens, and nothing else applies to closing a position.
Does Qatobit use P2P pricing for INR deposits or withdrawals?
No. INR moves through direct bank transfer, NEFT, RTGS, or IMPS, with a 200 rupee minimum and no fee on either side. There is no P2P step in that route, which removes one specific place a pricing premium could otherwise hide.
Is the 0.35 percent fee charged on my full balance every month?
It applies only to the transaction amount each time a basket is bought, sold, or rebalanced. There is no separate annual fee charged on the balance itself.
Is the transaction fee charged every month or only at sale?
It applies to every purchase, sale, and rebalance, so a monthly SIP pays it on each installment.
Does every crypto platform charge the same transaction fee?
Rates differ by platform and product. The check here is simpler: whether a calculator shows any fee line at all. The exact rate is a separate question.
What is the minimum deposit and withdrawal amount on Qatobit?
₹200 on either side, deposit or withdrawal, with no fee, over NEFT, RTGS or IMPS bank transfer.
What are the fees on a QSI Crypto Index?
Basket buy, sell, or rebalancing on any QSI Crypto Index, including QSI GEQ8, carries a 0.35% fee per transaction event, with no annual management fee. INR deposits and withdrawals carry no fee. All fees are displayed before any transaction is confirmed.
