The point

Mudrex Coin Sets and Qatobit QSI indices are both baskets of crypto, sold two different ways. Mudrex Coin Sets are more than 20 themed baskets sitting inside a full exchange. Entry is free, and redemption is free too after the first month. Qatobit QSI is a narrower suite of four indices. One flat fee applies on every rebalance, and nothing is charged to leave, at any holding period. Mudrex suits an investor who wants a wide menu of themes and same-day liquidity. Qatobit suits an investor who wants a small, documented set of allocations with one published fee.

Last verified: 7 September 2026.

What each product is

Mudrex's own page describes Coin Sets this way: "Meet Coin Sets; a Secure way to get diversified exposure to crypto."

The same page calls them "theme-based baskets of cryptocurrencies to help you invest systematically and avoid making ad-hoc decisions" (mudrex.com/coinset).

Qatobit's own positioning statement reads: "Qatobit is India's Crypto Wealth Architect. A structured, research-backed digital asset platform for serious investors who approach crypto as a portfolio allocation decision."

Qatobit's product is four QSI indices. Each one is a permanent allocation rather than a basket built around a single trend.

Mudrex Coin Sets at a glance against Qatobit

  • Minimum to invest: Mudrex Coin Sets start at $5, stated on the Coin Sets page. Qatobit QSI indices start at ₹2,000 per index.
  • Fee to invest: Mudrex charges nothing to enter a Coin Set. Qatobit charges 0.35 percent of the transaction amount.
  • Fee per rebalance: Mudrex charges 0.25 to 1 percent depending on the basket, 0.25 percent on the four basket pages read this run. Qatobit charges 0.35 percent on every rebalance, the same rate on all four indices.
  • Redemption fee: Mudrex charges 1 percent if redeemed inside the first month, nothing after. Qatobit charges nothing to leave an index, at any holding period.
  • Annual or management fee: neither Mudrex Coin Sets nor Qatobit QSI states one.
  • What is inside, and whether it is published: Mudrex names each basket's holdings on that basket's own page. Qatobit names every index's holdings too, with weights set by construction and drifting between the monthly rebalances.
  • Weighting rule: most Mudrex baskets weight by market cap within the basket. Two named exceptions exist, a fixed 50/50 split on the BTC and ETH basket, and equal weighting on the meme basket. Each Qatobit index follows one documented methodology, with hard caps on QSI GEQ8's eight holdings.
  • Rebalance cadence: both rebalance monthly.
  • Crypto SIP: Mudrex's SIP page lets an investor pick a coin or a Coin Set for the recurring buy. No minimum rupee amount is stated on that page. Qatobit's SIP into an index starts at ₹2,000 per cadence.
  • INR deposit and withdrawal: Mudrex charges nothing on either side. Qatobit charges nothing too, with a ₹200 minimum.
  • Custody, as each company states it: Mudrex's terms describe handing over custody of assets to Mudrex, which holds legal access on the investor's behalf. Qatobit states institutional custody and does not name the partner.
  • Proof of reserves: Qatobit publishes proof of reserves live, available at any time. The Mudrex pages read for this piece carried no proof-of-reserves dashboard or link.

What ₹2,000 a month costs across a year

Put ₹2,000 into a Coin Set carrying the 0.25 percent rebalance fee. Four of Mudrex's own basket pages showed that rate on 7 September 2026. Rebalanced monthly for a year, the fee comes to ₹5 in a month and ₹60 across 12 months. That holds so long as the basket stays on the 0.25 percent tier, rather than one running as high as 1 percent. Put the same ₹2,000 into a Qatobit QSI index, rebalanced the same 12 times. The fee is 0.35 percent each time, ₹7 in a month, ₹84 across the year.

The gap moves the other way on an early exit. Redeem the Coin Set inside the first month, and Mudrex adds a 1 percent fee on top, ₹20 on ₹2,000. Redeem a Qatobit index the same day, and nothing is added beyond the rebalance fee already paid.

What custody means on each platform

Mudrex's own terms state the assets stop being the investor's to hold directly.

The clause reads: "By transferring your assets to Mudrex, you are handing over custody of said assets to Mudrex."

The same clause continues: "We will retain custody of assets which basically means that we will have legal access to the assets."

The clause adds that Mudrex will always act on the instructions the investor provides.

Mudrex's fee page also carries three badges next to that clause, quoted as they read: "ISO 27001:2022," "SOC 2 Type 2" and "FIU Registered."

Qatobit states institutional custody for the assets an investor holds through Qatobit, and does not name the custody partner. The practical difference is what an investor can check without asking. Qatobit publishes proof of reserves live, available at any time. The Mudrex pages read for this piece carried no equivalent dashboard.

Where Mudrex is genuinely stronger

Mudrex's own page states an investor can "Invest in a Coin Set or redeem anytime with no lock-ins or penalty" past the first month. That is a same-day exit Qatobit's indices do not carry as a headline feature. Mudrex also carries three named regulatory registrations on a dedicated compliance page. One is FIU-India registration held by RPFAS Technologies Private Limited, license number VA00031079. The other two are a Bank of Lithuania VASP registration and an Italian OAM VASP registration. The same pages carry the "ISO 27001:2022" and "SOC 2 Type 2" badges, and a stated claim of insurance by Lloyds of London. Mudrex's Coin Sets page states $20M+ in assets under management and 1M+ investors, across more than 20 themed baskets. Mudrex's own about page puts the wider exchange at 3M+ users and $25M+ in assets under management company-wide.

Where Qatobit is stronger

Every Qatobit QSI index charges the same 0.35 percent on every rebalance, and nothing else. Mudrex's own fee page states a range instead, 0.25 to 1 percent depending on the basket. An investor cannot read the exact rate as one number until they pick a basket. No Qatobit index charges anything to leave, at any holding period. Mudrex's own terms carry a 1 percent fee for a redemption inside the first month. Qatobit publishes proof of reserves live, available at any time; the Mudrex pages read for this piece named no equivalent. Qatobit's four indices each follow one documented, named methodology: QSI Core, QSI Growth, QSI VRION, QSI GEQ8. Mudrex's Coin Sets weighting logic is described in blog prose on the pages read, rather than a versioned rulebook.

The QSI indices, in full

Qatobit offers four QSI indices, each a permanent allocation rather than a single-trend basket, each rebalanced monthly. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Gold and a stable reserve make up QSI Core. Solana joins that mix in QSI Growth, alongside Gold and a stable reserve. QSI VRION drops the hedge, holding only Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. Eight global companies across three sleeves make up QSI GEQ8 instead of crypto. The platform sleeve holds Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta Platforms and NVIDIA. Coinbase and Robinhood Markets make up the digital finance sleeve. Tesla alone is the innovation sleeve. No single holding sits above 15 percent or below 3 percent.

Every index shares the same terms. The minimum is ₹2,000, and a Crypto SIP into the index starts at ₹2,000 per cadence. The fee is 0.35 percent, charged on every buy, sell or rebalance. There is no annual management fee, and no exit load, lock-in or minimum holding period on any index at any holding period. INR moves in and out by bank transfer, NEFT, RTGS or IMPS, with a ₹200 minimum either way and no fee.

Who should choose which

An investor who wants a wide menu of themed baskets, same-day redemption after the first month, and a full exchange within reach picks Mudrex Coin Sets. An investor who wants a small number of documented indices, one flat rebalancing fee, and nothing charged for leaving at any point picks Qatobit QSI. Neither product here suits an investor who wants leveraged futures or picking single coins for quick moves. Mudrex's wider platform carries that. Qatobit's index suite does not.

How this page was checked

This page was built by reading Mudrex's own pages directly on 7 September 2026: mudrex.com/coinset, mudrex.com/fee-and-compliance, mudrex.com/compliance, mudrex.com/terms, mudrex.com/crypto-sip and mudrex.com/about-us. Every Mudrex figure quoted above was read on that date. A live composition table on Mudrex's individual basket pages did not render in a text-only read this run. It is left out rather than carried forward from an earlier note. Qatobit's own figures come from Qatobit's published product terms. This page is checked against its sources again about once a month, and the Last verified line above changes in place at each recheck.
