What each product is
Mudrex describes a Coin Set as a "theme-based basket of cryptocurrencies to help you invest systematically and avoid making ad-hoc decisions" on its own Coin Sets page. The same page lists "20+ Themes & Indexes" and says the investor can "Invest in a Coin Set or redeem anytime with no lock-ins or penalty." Mudrex Inc. is US-headquartered and Bengaluru-based, according to its About page.
Qatobit is a crypto index investing platform in India. An investor holds a curated basket of digital assets, rebalanced monthly on a published methodology, rather than picking coins. Qatobit sells four QSI indices: QSI Core, QSI Growth, QSI VRION and QSI GEQ8. Each is a permanent allocation, and the investor chooses the thesis rather than the tokens.

What does Mudrex charge on a Coin Set?
A Coin Set carries three charges on the Mudrex fee page, and each depends on the moment it is triggered. Investing costs nothing. Redeeming costs nothing after the first month and 1 percent before it. A monthly rebalance costs between 0.25 and 1 percent.
The Mudrex fee page also lists 18 percent GST on its spot, Web3 and futures trading fees. It does not say whether that GST applies to Coin Set fees, so this page states no GST figure for Mudrex Coin Sets.
The two Mudrex pages disagree on one point. The Coin Sets page says an investor can redeem "anytime with no lock-ins or penalty". The fee page, which carries the numbers, lists the 1 percent charge before one month. A reader comparing the two should plan on the fee page.
Qatobit has one rate for baskets. Every basket buy, sell or rebalancing across the four indices is 0.35 percent of the transaction amount, displayed before the investor confirms. There is no annual management fee and no exit load.
What do the fees add up to in rupees?
Each example below uses fee rates only and assumes no return.
Buying in. An investor puts ₹25,000 a month into an index for twelve months, which is ₹3,00,000 in total. Qatobit charges 0.35 percent on each buy: ₹25,000 × 0.35 percent = ₹87.50 a month, and ₹87.50 × 12 = ₹1,050 over the year. Mudrex lists no fee to invest in a Coin Set, so the same twelve buys read ₹0 on its fee page.
Rebalancing. Qatobit charges its fee on the transaction amount. Taking the same basis for both, the comparison is per ₹1,00,000 moved in a rebalance. At Mudrex's low rate of 0.25 percent that is ₹250. At its top rate of 1 percent it is ₹1,000. At Qatobit's 0.35 percent it is ₹350. Which Mudrex rate a given Coin Set carries is not stated on the pages read.
Selling. An investor sells a ₹5 lakh holding. Qatobit charges 0.35 percent: ₹5,00,000 × 0.35 percent = ₹1,750, whether the holding is one week or five years old. Mudrex charges 1 percent inside the first month: ₹5,00,000 × 1 percent = ₹5,000. After the first month the Mudrex fee page lists no fee, so the same sale reads ₹0.
On these three lines Mudrex's schedule reads lower for an investor who holds beyond a month, and Qatobit's reads lower for one who leaves inside it. Qatobit's schedule is one rate with no clock attached. It suits an investor who wants the cost known before acting, whatever the holding period.
Are the rules of each basket published?
A rule is anything an investor can read before investing: what the basket holds, how it is weighted, when it rebalances and what it costs.
Mudrex publishes monthly rebalancing on its fee page and names each Coin Set by its theme. The name of BTC 50 :: ETH 50 states its own split. The text of the Crypto Blue Chip 5 and BTC 50 :: ETH 50 pages, as read on 3 November 2026, carried no composition table, weights or methodology document. We did not find a versioned rulebook for Coin Sets.
Qatobit documents a methodology per index. Index weights are published on the home and index pages, every holding is named, and weights drift between rebalances. QSI GEQ8 adds hard caps of no holding above 15 percent or below 3 percent, and a quarterly composition review. For how an index differs from a single-coin buy, see what a crypto index is. A comparison of a crypto SIP into an index with a single-coin SIP covers the recurring-buy side.
Where Mudrex is stronger
Mudrex has the broader platform. Its Coin Sets page lists more than 20 themes and indexes. Its homepage carries the line "Create custom coin sets by choosing your tokens and setting your own allocation." An investor can build a set from chosen tokens on Mudrex. Qatobit does not offer that.
Mudrex charges nothing to invest in a Coin Set and nothing to redeem after the first month, per its fee page. Its crypto SIP starts from ₹100 and runs daily, weekly or monthly. It is also a full exchange. Its navigation lists spot, Web3 tokens and futures. Its homepage advertises commodity perpetuals "with 24/7 trading, no expiry dates, flexible position sizes, and up to 50x leverage."
On support, the Coin Sets page says "Humans, not robots. Get personalised investment assistance." Its About page states 3M+ invested users and $25M+ in assets under management. Qatobit does not state a user count here.
Where Qatobit is stronger
Qatobit prices every basket action at one rate, 0.35 percent, shown before confirmation, with no condition on how long the position has been held. It has no annual management fee and no exit load at any holding period.
Qatobit publishes proof of reserves live, available at any time, and the pages read for this comparison show no Mudrex equivalent. Qatobit sells four indices. Each is a permanent allocation with a documented methodology, rebalanced monthly, with every holding named. Qai, Qatobit's AI companion, answers questions about an account and the indices in Indian languages by voice or text, with sign-in required.
The QSI indices, in full
Qatobit sells four QSI indices. Three hold crypto and one holds global equities.
QSI Core holds Bitcoin, Ethereum, Gold and a stable reserve (USDT Earn). QSI Growth holds Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Gold and a stable reserve (USDT Earn). QSI VRION holds Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana with no hedge layer. QSI GEQ8 holds eight global companies in three sleeves: Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta Platforms and NVIDIA (platform), Coinbase and Robinhood Markets (digital finance), and Tesla (innovation). QSI GEQ8 sits outside SEBI regulation and is an index, not a fund.
All four rebalance monthly on a methodology documented per index. The minimum per index is ₹2,000, and a SIP into an index starts at ₹2,000 per cadence. A basket buy, sell or rebalance costs 0.35 percent of the transaction amount, displayed before confirmation. There is no annual management fee, and no exit load, lock-in or minimum holding period on any index. A single-asset buy or sell costs 0.4 percent and a crypto-to-crypto convert costs 0.1 percent. Deposits arrive by UPI, IMPS, NEFT or RTGS and withdrawals go directly to the linked Indian bank account, with a ₹200 minimum each way and no fee.
Who should choose which
Mudrex suits an investor who wants themes beyond four indices or a custom set. It suits one who wants a daily SIP, or futures and Web3 tokens in the same app. It also suits someone who expects to hold each Coin Set longer than a month, because the fee page lists no redemption fee after that point.
Qatobit suits an investor who wants a fixed set of documented allocations and every holding named. It also suits one who wants a single rate card with no time condition and proof of reserves at any time.
Qatobit does not serve an investor who wants to pick coins, build a custom set, use futures or use leverage. Qatobit is not a day-trading exchange.
How this page was checked
Every Mudrex figure on this page was read from Mudrex's own pages on 3 November 2026. Those pages are Coin Sets, fee and compliance, compliance, crypto SIP, About, the homepage and two basket pages. A figure that did not load was dropped. The Mudrex pages are re-read once a month and the Last verified line above is changed in place. Qatobit figures come from Qatobit's product documentation. This page compares no return and no performance.
When the allocation question comes before the product question, what asset allocation is and what it decides before any pick sets out the framework. Concentration risk shows what a basket is designed to limit. A monthly rebalance is covered in portfolio rebalancing when one holding falls 10 percent.
